The Manchester Alternative Rooms is available for private hire, our only requirement for hiring the venue is that you are a member.

We aim to provide an affordable space that the alternative community can use, and offer hire on an hourly rate (deposit required).

Our rates are:

Weekday/Evenings from 9am Monday- up to 6pm Friday £20ph
Weekend/Evenings from 6pm Friday- up to 11.30pm Sunday £25ph


Weekday/Evenings £30ph
Weekend/Evenings £35ph

Discounts are given for 3 or more hours

£10 deposit (non-refundable) is required for hire periods of 3 hours and under. You can pay this by Paypal below.

To discuss deposits for longer periods of hire please contact us.

If you are running a charity event, workshops or wish to run a new event and use our venue, then please contact us as we may be able to do this at a vastly discounted price.

Weekends are our busiest times so please check the recent news on the MARS homepage to see if any events are already booked for the time you wish to hire.

Special Arrangements

At M.A.R.S we aim to provide an environment that suits your needs, and we have a flexible venue that enables us to do this. We can provide an array of equipment and furniture for our members enjoyment far too massive to list. If you have any specific requirements please get in touch. We can also provide refreshments.

Community, Charity and Education.

We open the venue to the community for events intended for the benefit of others, be that educationally or in raising funds for good causes. Please get in touch if you have any ideas and we will be as accomodating as we can to help you.
